Customize your Hosted Onboarding Flows

Learn how to customize your hosted onboarding flows to reduce the amount of questions asked from your merchants during the onboarding process. This feature allows you to pre-fill answers to certain questions and hide them from the onboarding flow to streamline you merchant's onboarding process.

How it Works:

Customizing your hosted onboarding flows its very simple and can be achieved through our portal. Just Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Onboarding Template" for which you would like customize the hosted onboarding flow, then click on the "Configurations" tab, and then on "Add Onboarding Customization"
  2. Follow the step by step guide that will allow you to preselect answers and hide certain questions. See the section below for details on the questions that can be pre-answered, and/or hidden from the onboarding flow

Available Onboarding Template Customizations

  1. Preselect and hide "Payment Options/Channels" question

    1. You are able to preselect the payment options (i.e. In-person, Over the phone / Keyed-in, Online) on behalf of your merchant

    2. Upon preselecting a payment option, if you chose to also hide the question, you will also be required to enter the percentage of transactions that are processed through the preselected payment options (e.g 50% in person, 50% online). This will also automatically hide the "% by channel" question from the merchant, unless you enable the "Allow merchant to Modify percentages" toggle.

  2. Customize the Terminal solutions and accessories to be displayed in the hosted onboarding flow

    1. You are able to customize which terminal solutions are to be displayed to the merchant during the onboarding flow (e.g. "Dejavoo QD2", "Ingenico 3500", etc.). NOTE: By default, all supported terminals are displayed in the hosted onboarding flow. This feature allows you to display only the ones you will offer with this onboarding template.

    2. You are also able to hide this onboarding question so that your merchant does not need to chose a terminal.

  3. Preselect and hide "Online and Over the phone Payment Gateway / Virtual Terminal Options" question

    1. You are able to customize a which payment gateway / virtual terminal solutions are to be displayed to the merchant during the onboarding flow (e.g. "EdgePay", "Authorize.NET", "NMI"), and preselect them on their behalf.

    2. In order to be able to hide this question from the onboarding flow, you must preselect the option. You also must have preselected the "Online" or "Over the Phone" payment options on Step #1, and chosen to hide that question.

  4. Preselect the answer to whether or not the merchants that you will be onboarding currently have an existing account with the Gateway Selected in the prior step

    1. You are able to preselect whether or not your merchants will be bringing their own existing Gateway/Virtual Terminal accounts, or if we will need to create a new account for them with the Gateway Provider.

    2. In order to be able to hide this question from the onboarding flow, you must preselect the option. You also must have preselected the "Online" or "Over the Phone" payment options on Step #1, and chosen to hide that question, and preselected a Payment Gateway Option on Step #3

  5. Preselect and hide the "Online Payment Integration Options" question

    1. You are able to customize a which available integration methods for online payments are to be displayed to the merchant during the onboarding flow (e.g. "Woo Commerce", "Shopify", "Magento", "Custom API Integrations", etc), and preselect them on their behalf.

    2. In order to hide this question from the onboarding flow, you must preselect the option. You also must have preselected the "Online" or "Over the Phone" payment options on Step #1
